Blake Dunlop traverses themes of fear and phobia, contradictory social behaviour, and the bittersweetness of nostalgia.

The weaving of motifs across projects,—à la ramen noodles—serves to remind the observer of the softness of the bindings which hold one back.

With personal freedom as the Artist’s ultimate desire, the work is not only born of a necessity to produce, but a fear of being pigeonholed into a single discipline or genre.
